Playcomp launches its podcast with Jorge Oceja, a Ram\u00f3n y Cajal researcher, as its first guest. The project, funded by the National Research Agency, aims to explore the possibilities that independent video games offer in the classroom. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Alejandro Lozano, the podcast’s presenter with a long history as host of Ludens, will interview a professional of the sector in each episode, who will share their experiences and ideas about the use of video games in the secondary education classroom. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the episode, Alejandro Lozano and Jorge Oceja explain what Playcomp is, how the project came about, and its main purpose. Jorge Oceja states that Playcomp is a vindication of video games that are not explicitly educational. Through independent video games and a mediation process carried out by teachers, the aim is to transmit and address socio-emotional and civic values \u200b\u200bto develop civic and citizenship skills. Furthermore, Jorge Oceja highlights one of the project’s main objectives: “To help teachers improve their video game literacy.” This will be achieved by offering tools and training that allow them to integrate video games critically and pedagogically into the classroom. <\/span><\/p>\n
